What Family Ministries Offers Your Community

The Family Ministries Team is dedicated to assisting families and individuals with clothing, furniture, shelter, and counseling.

Please call to schedule an appointment for clothing or furniture.

Bring the following items with you to your scheduled appointment:

  • Proof of income, disability, or assistance printout

  • Photo ID

At your appointment, you will be required to fill out a basic intake sheet with your information.

All information provided during counseling sessions and interviews will be kept confidential under the professional code of ethics.

The Adams Rescue Mission continues to work (by referral) with other local social service agencies.

The Agape House

The Agape House is a Christian Shelter that has ten self-contained, furnished apartments.  They are both one and two bedroom units with a kitchen, dining area, bathroom, and living room.  We have added bunk beds and a sofa bed to accommodate larger families.

The Agape house is more than a shelter for the homeless.  We have designed a program that provides opportunities for displaced women and families to become integrated into the community.

We work together with other local agencies to help our clients find employment, housing, childcare, and educational resources.

  •    There is a trained staff of counselors to assist the families with their progress.

  •    Supervised group meetings and other events are in place to help teach and train individuals.

  •    We also have a Life Skills Coach living at the Agape House to assist us with our guests.
