What Family Ministries Offers Your Community
The Family Ministries Team is committed to supporting families and individuals by providing assistance with clothing, furniture, shelter, and counseling services.
Appointments are required for clothing and furniture assistance. Please call to schedule a time.
When you come to your appointment, be sure to bring the following:
- Proof of income, disability, or assistance (such as a benefits printout)
- A valid photo ID
At your appointment, you will be asked to complete a basic intake form with your personal information.
All information shared during counseling sessions and interviews will be kept strictly confidential in accordance with professional codes of ethics.
The Adams Rescue Mission also collaborates—by referral—with other local social service agencies to ensure individuals and families receive comprehensive support.
The Agape House
The Agape House is a Christian shelter featuring ten self-contained, fully furnished apartments. These include both one- and two-bedroom units, each equipped with a kitchen, dining area, bathroom, and living room. To better serve larger families, bunk beds and a sofa bed have been added.
Agape House is more than just a shelter for those experiencing homelessness. It offers a structured program designed to help displaced women and families become integrated into the community.
We partner with local agencies to assist residents in securing employment, stable housing, childcare, and educational opportunities.
A trained staff of counselors is available to support families as they work toward their goals. In addition, supervised group meetings and organized activities provide opportunities for learning, personal growth, and skill development.
A Life Skills Coach also resides at Agape House, offering daily guidance and support to our guests.
